Nadia Elena Comaneci

Her name gained international attention and affection for presenting the world with one of its most memorable moments in the history of sports - scoring the first-ever perfect 10 on bars that were symmetrical in the Montreal Olympic Games in 1976. Furthermore, she also scored six perfect 10s and made her 14 years of old, the youngest Olympic medallist in every category. Nadia Comaneci managed to attract international attention and assist in helping Romania to establish itself in the global spotlight. With an impossible result she became a legendary figure and promoted gymnastics across the globe. People's view of female athletes also changed due to her performance.
