O'Grady lived in the city of Wheaton, Illinois and graduated from the Wheaton North High School in the year 1981. She is the daughter of Jan O'Grady (a Financial planner) and Jim O'Grady. Her birthplace was in Detroit, Michigan, the child of Jan and Jim O'Grady, a financial planner. The model was featured in several commercials before shifting into Los Angeles in 1986. The career path O'Grady began her career as the model of Montgomery Ward, and well performing commercials in a variety of ways.
